I am Carol Ann Nolan and I am researching my paternal family. I have been researching for several years now and have not found my Nolan line easy to research. I have visited Liverpool on many an occasion to research my Nolan ancestry, visiting several research centres including William Brown Library and Crosby Library where the records are kept for Bootle and surrounding areas. I have also visited family members living in the area. Although I have not been able to find the baptism records for all my Nolan's many of them used Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Seaforth and St James Church in Bootle. My research in Liverpool will continue. However... ...My Nolan's originate from Ireland but came to Litherland and Bootle in the 1850's. According to a census entry they came from Clonmel, Tipperary. I am now at the stage were I need to visit Ireland to further my research.
